ASC 2012

Wednesday, May 16th, 2012

Luke and I are in the air making our way home after ASC. It was a good show, although it was also a much smaller show. I can see this growing though.

The keynotes and the breakout sessions were good also. The round table discussions were very in depth and had experts in in each of their respective fields leading the conversations. Much love to Max, I will be following up via email very soon!

In my opinion, the people that were at this event were pretty serious about growing or expanding their businesses. The exhibit area was small and there were a small number of spots available to exhibit. This meant that not nearly as many different companies could set up a table. But, this did allow for an environment that was more suited for talking more in depth about potential business opportunities.

The venue was the Hilton in Austin and the hotel was accommodating and the staff were pleasant. It was also nice that The Hilton is walking distance from most of the attractions in town.

The city of Austin itself is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed being there. The food is great, the people are laid back, and the music scene is insane! I will be vacationing there for sure!

That’s it for this post. Keep checking back for more content!

As Promised, Here Are The Pictures!

Monday, May 14th, 2012

Hey everyone! In the previous blog post I mentioned that Chad (PeerFly fearless leader) and myself (PeerFly Fanboi) went skydiving as a celebration of our birthdays. It was an amazing experience to say the least. The rush you get staring down at the earth from 2 1/2 miles in the sky is exhilarating! For those that are interested in going skydiving and are in Florida, I highly recommend Skydive Palatka. The staff was very professional, knowledgable, and fun. They are a great group of people!

So, here are some pics of Chad and I jumping out of an airplane! Make sure to click on the images to see a larger view.

This was by far the best birthday that I have ever had and the experience of free fall will never leave me!

It Has Been Busy Around Here!

Wednesday, May 9th, 2012

It has been a little while since the last blog post. I apologize for that! There have been a few birthdays in the office and then there was the release of the Avengers movie.

Each of these events had it’s own celebration. On Friday the PeerFly staff went to the theatre to check out the Avengers in all of it’s 3D splendor. I have to say that this is one of the best movies I think I have ever seen! If you have not seen it, do it! You will not be disappointed at all.

Then there was the issue of birthdays. Chad, PeerFly’s CEO and fearless leader and myself, Davey, PeerFly fanboi extraordinaire, each celebrated a birthday. We each did the typical cake and ice cream with friends and family. We also wanted to make this birthday one to remember for both of us. So, what better way to do so than to jump out of an airplane!

Now, we both did this for our own reasons. Chad wanted to stare down and conquer a fear that he has had all of his life and I am just a dipshit that has always wanted to jump out of a plane. We planned our jumps for this past Saturday (May 5) and made our way to the jump site with our families in tow. Obviously everything went well because I am able to type this post!

For those that have even thought to themselves that it would be cool to go skydiving I say DO IT! It was amazing! That was one of the most extreme experiences ever.

Now, this got me to thinking about something. The one thing that keeps people from doing or trying most things is fear. Once the fear has been faced and overcome, good things follow.

A lot of what holds people back in internet marketing is fear. Most people do not want to try new and different methods because they have never done it and are scared of failure. Move past your fears, overcome them and see the possibilities open up.

Pictures will be posted soon!

Spotify Facebook Connect Affiliate Offer on PeerFly

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Normally we would not do an entire blog post about one offer, but we is really excited to be able to bring this offer to you, our beloved publishers. The offer is PeerFly Offer # 5253 , Spotify US. Spotify is a music streaming service backed by some big names like Sean Parker (you know, Napster founder, former president of Facebook).

If you aren’t using Spotify, you should be. It’s free to use on your computer, and it lets you play nearly any song by any artist you can think of. Something else I like about Spotify is that you can set it to automatically show what songs you are listening to on your Facebook timeline. The social integration is flawless. Most of the team here at the PeerFly Office use Spotify to stream music while we work.

The Spotify offer converts on super easy registration with Spotify. How easy is the Spotify registration? As simple as a click – Facebook connect and BAM, the user is registered. I strongly recommend you test this offer today. Take Note: almost every traffic type is allowed.

We also have had the Spotify UK  Offer, PeerFly Offer # 4837, for several weeks now and it is performing great for the publishers promoting it. If you have UK traffic or email lists, you should definitely test this. Please reach out if you need further information or would like some suggested traffic sources and promotion methods. Cheers!

Short Form Registration Offers and Email Submits

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

The PeerFly Biz Dev Team has added some great new Short Form Registration Offers. These offers are very similar to email submit offers, the difference is they convert after the user enters a bit more than just an email address. Page 1 of these offers is typically an email submit or zip code submit field. The extra info required is usually Full Name and Home Address, and the offers typically convert on page 2. The great thing about these offers is that they are set at higher payouts than typical email submit offers.

You can find the Registration offers on PeerFly by typing in “Registration” on the PeerFly Offer Search, or select the the Vertical “Short Form Registration”. For more info about this type of offer and why you should split test against the email submits you’re currently running, make sure to check out this LukePeerFly.com post.

Offers You Should Be Running

Friday, March 23rd, 2012

Looking for some great offers to run? Sometimes its tough to sort through the hundreds of new offers that PeerFly releases each month, so we have picked several  recently added offers in different verticals that you can set up some campaigns today and work on getting them profitable!

 iPad Offers

With all the recent buzz about the new iPad, a ton of email submit offers have surfaced in the Affiliate Marketing landscape showcasing Apple’s popular tablet. One of the best is the “Test & Keep iPad3″  PeerFly Offer # 4710. There is a mobile version of the offer on PeerFly Offer # 4711. Also check out some of the great ZIP SUBMIT iPad 3 offers on PeerFly Offer # 4825 (for email traffic) and Offer # 4826 (for display traffic). Many of PeerFly’s email submit offers allow pre-pop, so pre-pop these iPad offers and watch your conversion rates increase!

 Credit Score Offers

Everyone is interested in knowing where they stand in terms of their credit score, and PeerFly has been beefing up the Credit/Financial vertical as of late to provide you with plenty of options to test. If you are looking for a free-trial credit score offer, I would strongly recommend the offer “Profinity CreditScore”, PeerFly Offer # 4652. This offer has a high payout, and the advertiser has recently completed a ton of testing and updates to the offer, resulting in a drastic conversion rate increase. Your target consumer for these types of offers is a broad range, but keep in mind reasons why folks may want to know their credit score. Perhaps they are in the market to buy a car or home. Maybe they are wanting to check where their score is before they go job hunting. If you have email lists or media buys on websites in these subjects, you will likely be very successful with this type of offer. As a friendly reminder, make sure you are following restrictions on any credit-related offer, as they are heavily affected by government regulations.

A unique offer to test with your CreditScore type traffic would be “CreditSesame Free Credit Score”, PeerFly Offer # 4703. CreditSesame is unique in that it is not a free trial, it is 100% free. The site will show you your credit score for free, and will continue to update the score and give you suggestions on how to improve it over time. This could be something that appeals to a wide range of people, especially if you take the time to ensure you explain to prospective user that the service is truly FREE, with no credit card required during sign up. The offer pays lower than the free-trial credit offers, but if you have the right traffic it is definitely worth testing.

Spotify Facebook Connect Offers

If you aren’t using Spotify, you should be. It’s free to use on your computer, and it lets you play nearly any song by any artist you can think of. Something else I like about Spotify is that you can set it to automatically show what songs you are listening to on your Facebook timeline.

PeerFly has added the  Spotify UK  Offer, PeerFly Offer # 4837, and it converts on super easy registration with Spotify. How easy is the Spotify registration? As simple as a click – Facebook connect and bam, the user is registered. So test this offer out on UK traffic, almost every traffic type is allowed. And watch for the US version of this offer that is going to be released SOON!

 Mature Dating Offers

Looking for some great dating offers? One of our best performing offers in this space is Mature Dating 40+, PeerFly Offer # 4462. There is also a 50+ version of the offer, PeerFly Offer # 4463, that pays slightly higher. This offer is the perfect example of a high paying dating offer that will work for you IF YOU TARGET CORRECTLY! The advertiser has done a GREAT job of letting you know exactly what is working for them as far as the Age of customers, Locations to target, and general demographic information to use, as well as words and phrases to stay away from. That is one of the reasons I cannot recommend this offer enough, and I suggest that you start approaching all of the campaigns you set up with that same focus in mind.

You may be able to make a quick buck by having a super-catchy or even sneaky hook to bring users into an offer, but just think about the long term stability and income potential you can create when you are sending the advertiser EXACTLY the customers they are looking for! These offers, in fact all offers, can be promoted correctly by keeping in mind the target customer of the particular offer and making sure you are following all recommendations and restrictions on an offer.

 Fitness Offers

Most parts of the country are starting to warm up, and we are in the midst of Spring Break everywhere. As it gets hotter and closer to summer, more and more people are going to be hitting the beach, out at the pool, on the cruise ships, you get the idea. People want to look good in that bikini or bathing suit, so now is the perfect time to push some fitness offers. One fitness offer that would work really well is “Jillian Michaels” – PeerFly Offer # 4875. The branding is obviously a big advantage to this offer, and there are a lot of traffic sources you could use to drive traffic to an offer like this. This offer is unique enough that the traffic sources aren’t over-saturated with other publishers pushing the same thing.

If you need assistance setting up your campaigns, or want some great tips on traffic sources and promotion methods, please reach out to your affiliate manager Luke ( luke@peerfly.com). I challenge everyone to test out at least 2 new offers before the end of the month. if you can’t make your campaign profitable, let us know and we will help you until you have positive ROI. Put in the work now, and when your balance starts growing, you’ll be glad you did.
